Rostering a Midnight Start

Rostering for a midnight start may be a little daunting at first, but it is really quite simple with Tanda. Let’s take a look at a specific example. Say Amelia is rostered to start at midnight on a Monday night, but in actual fact her shift is starting on a Tuesday. On the Monday roster you will enter the shift to read 24:00 until say 8am on the Tuesday when the shift finishes, as per below:

You will notice that the 8am finish time is now highlighted blue, to show that the shift is ending on the next day (Tuesday).

Important information

If Amelia gets to work early and clocks-in at 11:56pm Monday night and you have timesheet rounding set, it will just round to her start time which will be Tuesday.

You will also need to be careful rostering midnight starts at the end of your pay period.
